Let’s have a closer look at its design, specifications and features.
iQOO in collaboration with BMW motorsports’ legendary track design, which they call ‘Fascination Meets Innovation’, looks spectacular and claims it as the winner of the most prestigious design award by “The 2021 Red Dot Award”.
Features and specs:
This flagship smartphone sports the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and Adreno 660 GPU for the ultimate gaming experience. Its 4000mAh battery supports 66W USB Type C FlashCharge that juices up the device from 0-100% in just less than 30 minutes. It boasts a 120Hz, 20:9 aspect ratio, 6.62 inches (1000 X 2400) FHD+ AMOLED display with HDR10+ for a clearer, sharper and better quality picture with having a peak brightness of 1300nits, which is rather less than that of Mi 11 Ultra that has 1700nits of brightness. It also has a 300Hz touch sampling rate and a contrast ratio of 6,000,000:1. Talking about the memory and storage capacity, it has 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard. The iQOO 7 Legend has scored a staggering 831,200 on the AnTuTu benchmark.
iQOO 7 has a triple rear camera setup with 48MP (Sony IMX598) primary camera with OIS F/1.8 aperture, a 13MP Telephoto lens, a 3MP ultra-wide angle lens. and a punch hole style 16MP selfie camera with F/2.0 aperture. It can also record 4K videos at 30fps.
iQOO also claims that the phone has the largest cooling vapour chamber which is capable of lowering up to 14 degrees of temperature on the CPU and 4 degrees on the surface.
WiFi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 are some of their connectivity features. It has a dual-sim card tray with nano-sim slots and no memory expansion even as an option. It has a dual stereo speaker set up at the bottom, but no headphone jack. The fingerprint scanner is hidden under the display. It does have a Corning Gorilla glass 6 damage protection to enhance the device durability but does not have any IP water & dust resistance certification.
It comes with FunTouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11.
Conclusion: Under the 40K price segment, iQOO 7 Legend is clearly a flagship killer that comes with top-notch features with affordability in mind. Although it does lack a couple of flagship features like wireless charging and has an average battery capacity, it's a complete package from the parent company, Vivo. It will be gladsome to see what other companies bring, under this price point, to compete with this beast and to retain their customers.
